There are many reasons people choose to downsize. It can be a great way to free up funds for more exciting pursuits such as travelling and a brilliant way to increase saving capacity. With everyday bills also lower you’ll have more to spend on the things you like. Plus, a more manageable home with less upkeep will give you time back.

Are you an empty nester? This is another common reason people choose to downsize. The kids have grown up and flown the nest and you simply do not need or want the extra space. With extra pennies in your back pocket you may even want to support your children with their first house purchase. Plus at a different stage in your life you may want a slightly more user friendly layout if you know what I mean (I’m thinking less stairs personally!)
